As a premium small-business provider of advanced components and subsystems, West Coast Solutions is seeking to fill key technical positions to help lead us into the next phase. Required skills/qualifications
- Bachelor or Associates degree in electrical, mechanical or related field, or 2+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in troubleshooting/ repairing electrical and mechanical test equipment and components
- PCB soldering – SMT and through-hole components, includes rework by removing and replacing components safely
- Harnessing – assembly and rework of test and flight harnesses that utilize D-sub, micro-D, and circular connectors (MIL-STD-38999)
- Involves crimping contacts, soldering connectors, reading and interpreting schematics and wire diagrams
- Lab Management – organize, restock and maintain lab areas to make them efficient for engineers to use
- Assist with enforcing cleanliness and safety standards
- Flag and submit test equipment for calibration
- Ambitious spirit with a willingness to take on challenges, learn from mistakes and execute assignments
- Good written and oral communication skills
Preferred skills/qualifications
- Certified in assembly and inspection standards: IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD
- Testing – set up, configure, and operate benchtop test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, etc.)
- Execute test procedures and collect test data to verify performance of unit under test (UUT)
- Perform troubleshooting as needed by diagnosing failures
- Experience with assembly instructions and travelers
Pay Range
$28-45/hr. Dependent on the candidate’s experience.
