As a premium small business provider of advanced components and subsystems, West Coast Solutions is currently seeking to fill key technical positions to help lead us through the next phase. Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor or Associates degree in electrical engineering or similar and 2-7 years of professional experience in PCB layout design
- Understanding of PCB design/fabrication processes, limitations and design rules
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best design practices and procedures for each PCB layout
- Proficiency with IPC standards for PCB design and manufacturing
- Experience using Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro or similar PCB layout design tools
- Experience with developing component libraries and library management
- Experience with a variety of board types, including high layer count (10+ layers), digital designs and power electronics
- Experience with creating PCB fabrication and assembly drawings
- Familiar with basic signal and power integrity rules and how those can affect PCB layout
- Ambitious spirit with a willingness to take on challenges, learn from mistakes and execute assignments
- Good written and oral communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Experience with high-speed digital interfaces and controlled impedance routing requirements
- Experience with flex circuits
- Experience with high-pin density packages and layout such as FPGAs
Salary Range:
$95,000- $156,000. Dependent on the candidate’s experience.
